RosemaryHOWELL(née Griffin) DL, BEM of Lukesland, Devon, died peacefully on Tuesday 3 February 2026, aged 96 years.

Beloved widow of Brian and mother of Robert, John and Morley: she will be greatly missed by many.

A service of Thanksgiving will be held in St Petroc's Church, Harford, PL21 0JQ, at 2pm on Saturday 20 June 2026.

I have very happy memories of Rosemary and Brian both personally and professionally. I was (briefly) chairman of Fountain Forestry of which Brian was a much respected director and Rosemary the editor of its excellent staff magazine: “The Fountain”. I visited Lukesland many times in the 1970s and 1980s and again more recently to see Rosemary who gave my wife Elizabeth and I the warmest of welcomes.
